The new car with more power in the world is an electric 2,000 horsepower

The Lotus Evija is now the most powerful car in the world. It has a 2,000 horsepower engine and its propulsion form is electric.

The power of the electric motor is beyond doubt. The acceleration capacity of these vehicles in the first seconds is usually greater than those of gasoline. But now that these new types of vehicles are becoming popular, at least at the industrial level, technical feats arise. This is the case of the Lotus Evija, a rolling monster that accumulates 2,000 horses on its four wheels.

It is not the first electric that approaches this border of 2,000 horses. The previous most powerful car in the world was the Rimac C_Two, which reached 1,914 horses. A successor to the Rimac Concept_One, which built from scratch and independently accelerated from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds. And it is that gasoline have long been left behind in this acceleration.

The Lotus Evija is set at 100 km / h in less than three seconds. But above all, the acceleration of 0 to 300 km / h is striking. Reach this speed in less than nine seconds. His figures are superlative. The discharge rates of your battery reach 2,000 kW. This provides the necessary force for the exit.

As for parameters that correspond better with other electric cars, it should be said that the battery of the Lotus Evija is 70 kWh. This capacity provides an autonomy of about 400 kilometers. Of course, with moderate driving. The load capacity is at 800 kW.

Power vs. autonomy
There is no doubt that electric cars approve with a note in power. For real life, a minimum of what the Lotus Evija exhibits, whose maximum speed is 320 km / h, is more than enough. But the real limitation of these engines is accumulation.

The capacity of the batteries is what greatly marks the utility of an electric car. Hence, significant resources are devoted to investigating this aspect. Although in regard to other types of media, such as air or sea, power is undoubtedly a factor to consider.

For rolling machines, the power explored is more than enough. And at the Lotus Evija levels it is still an exclusive luxury. In fact, the brand – owned by the Chinese group Geely – will only produce 130 vehicles of this model. Each of them will cost 2.1 million dollars.
