How to disinfect your coronavirus devices?

We have been listening to how fast COVID-1 is spread and the importance of washing our hands for a few weeks. But no one has explained how to disinfect what we use the most in our day-to-day: mobile phones and computers. Don’t panic, because we will tell you how to disinfect your coronavirus devices.

From the outbreak that originated in China a few months ago until it reached Europe, we have been discovering something new about COVID-19 every day.

As we already know, the disease is spread mainly through droplets from the nose or mouth that a person expels when coughing or exhaling. But, although this is the fundamental reason, it is also possible to get infected by using a device previously used by a person who has the virus.

Mobiles are said to have 10 times more bacteria than a toilet seat. Thus, it is important that we clean all our devices thoroughly, since it could be said that, in general, it is what we use the most throughout the day. Therefore, we want to show you how to disinfect your coronavirus devices.

First of all, wash your hands

First, wash your hands before cleaning your devices, either with soap and water or with an alcohol-based disinfectant. Why? Because viruses accumulate in the hands and this action kills them. In this way, you will avoid infecting your phone, tablet or computer again.

Second, unplug and turn off the device

To avoid short circuits and deterioration of the appliance, it is essential to disconnect it from the light or turn it off to clean it.

If it is waterproof, please wash it directly

If your device can be submerged, wash it with soap and water, without fear. And then dry it with a towel. It is important that the towel with which you dry it is new, to avoid re-infecting it.

What if it is not waterproof?

To disinfect your coronavirus devices, if they can’t get wet, the best option is to moisten a microfiber wipe in water (60%) and alcohol (40%). Clean the device and case with it, don’t forget to clean the mouse and other accessories, and dry them very well afterwards.
